Chirag United challenge for Air India

Air India will probably be playing their last home game of the season at Balewadi Sports Complex when they take on Chirag United Kerala in I-League on Sunday.

This comparison provides round 20 Santosh Kashyap side of yet another chance to prove they have the desire to be among the best teams like Mumbai outfit was breaking the mark of 30 points if they beat Kerala.

In his last game against Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bangalore, Air India played excellent, fast paced game full of something for 90 minutes that is rarely seen in domestic matches.

Now that Air India is totally safe, there is no reason why the Mumbai team does not go all out and win all the points of the match against Chirag.

Takayuki Omi and Sandeep Sangha were at their brilliant best, creating several chances for the front Manandeep Singh, Allan Dias and Henry Ezeh. Kashyap was happy with benching Sandesh Gadkari striker for most of the game before you send it as a substitute late in the second half.

On defense, Lamine Tamba was the most active. Abranches Tamba and Collin were key supporters of those who have Air India Pawan Kumar depends. The keeper himself was very active in the bar and saved several shots on goal.

When I came here last Chirag, Mumbai beat a result of shock, and Air India would be wary of that.

Chirag in a sense is a balanced team, but luck was not with them most of the time, so when they take the field Sunday afternoon, hand Packeer Mohammed Nizam Ali, at least, I would put a good show and see if they performance can be repeated once more in Balewadi.
