India vs West Indies 1st ODI cricket match

Port of Spain: Indian team lost the toss in the first match day international against West Indies. So the first move should be to West Indies cricket team, who decided to bat. Since this is a batting pitch, the West Indies team should try to score a big total to beat an inexperienced Indian team.

In the meantime, and interestingly so, Pollard has been left out, along with Andrew Russell.

India is also a surprise, leaving out Ashwin R for Amit Mishra. Of course, no one knows if you are watching on TV in India.

The World Champions of Cricket, India, are preparing to take on West Indies in their first game after the ICC 2011 World Cup. The Indian team led by stand-in skipper Suresh Raina in the absence of regular captain MS Dhoni includes young players with just two batters in the first regular service in Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

The team will not get the services of players such as captain MS Dhoni, Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh in the first ODI against the West Indians, who under their captain Darren Sammy could groped to exploit the land home advantage.

India, meanwhile, are very confident with the 16-run victory against West Indian lineup in the preparatory stage Twenty-20 matchup. In the game Saturday, Subramaniam Badrinath and Rohit Sharma form to victory for India, who won the 2011 ICC World Cup by beating Sri Lanka in his home race two months back.

On the other hand, the lineup of the West Indies, is optimistic, with the inclusion of star players like Ramnaresh Sarwan and Dwayne Bravo on the team. Pollard, Sarwan and Bravo are leading aggressive batsmen in world cricket.

But the West Indians lack a powerful bowling attack. Leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo, pacer Ravi Rampual and Captain Sammy are the bowlers of confidence in the team for a few laps. Meanwhile, beat together in India have a bowling lineup better especially in the spinning department.

West Indies XI: Sammy (CAPT), Dwayne Bravo, Baugh (wk), Bishoo, Darren Bravo, Edwards, Martin, Rampaul, Samuels, Sarwan and Simmons

India XI: Raina (CAPT), Harbhajan, Badrinath, Kohli, Praveen Kumar, Mishra, Munaf Patel, Parthiv Patel (BS), Pathan, Rohit Sharma, Dhawan.
